2023 was an excellent year for footfall at the Berlinische Galerie, despite the temporary closure to install LED lighting.
The museum welcomed over 223,000 visitors, topping the figure for 2022 by more than 58,000. Apart from 2019, 2023 saw the biggest attendance since the building on Alte Jakobstrasse in Kreuzberg first opened in 2004. “Edvard Munch. Magic of the North” has proven especially popular ever since it opened in September (more than 145,000 visitors to date).
