The artist
Anna Zett (* Leipzig) lives in Berlin. She studied at Berlin’s Humboldt University, Middlesex University in London and the University of the Arts in Berlin. Her graduation thesis “Monsters of Modernity” laid the thematic foundations for her first films. In 2014 she published her video lecture “Dinosaur.gif”, recorded on a laptop, and her road film/essay “This Unwieldy Object”. Both works deal with dinosaurs as monstrous symbols of colonial and capitalist violence in a United States context. Zett’s videos have been shown at, for example, Forum Expanded/Berlin Film Festival, the Whitney Museum in New York and the Serpentine Gallery Extinction Marathon in London. She published the literary text collection “Artificial Gut Feeling”.
