Children’s birthdays: Monster Search
Celebrate your birthday at Atelier Bunter Jakob
Children can celebrate their birthday with friends and family at the Atelier Bunter Jakob. The set fee for a group with up to 10 participants is 225 euros. A three-hour birthday party at the Berlinische Galerie can be scheduled for a Saturday or Sunday. Siblings and parents are welcome to join in. The event can also be run in English.
They hide in cupboards, behind trees or in old closets - But most of all they love lurking in photographs, drawings, paintings and sculptures of great artists: Funny Monsters! In the museum kids can meet for an monster-hunt to capture the creatures on paper with their pencils. The drawings are then transformed into the third dimension by using a collection of colourful recycled materials to create fantastic sculptures. The results in the end may look scary or lovable - but are in any case worth to be taken home.
Between visiting the museum and our creative work in the studio, there will be time for a snack. Please bring the food and drinks, and perhaps a birthday cake, with you.
