Children’s birthdays: Move it! Make your own stop-motion film

Children can celebrate their birthday with friends and family at the Atelier Bunter Jakob. The set fee for a group with up to 10 participants is 225 euros. A three-hour birthday party at the Berlinische Galerie can be scheduled for a Saturday or Sunday. Siblings and parents are welcome to join in. The event can also be run in English.

We want to celebrate with you. There is so much to discover at the Berlinische Galerie. Some works of art are bursting with music; others show dancing and feasting. Our tour will take us back a hundred years and more to see how people partied, and then you will draw characters, shapes and backdrops for your own party. And after that? We will show the film!

In the Atelier Bunter Jakob you will think up plots for your characters and animate them using stop motion. Move it – let’s party and enjoy ourselves!

Between visiting the museum and our creative work in the studio, there will be time for a snack. Please bring the food and drinks, and perhaps a birthday cake, with you.
